  • [ 35% of vinyl buyers are between the ages of 18 - 34 and 43% of CD buyers are under the age of 35. With the rise in physical media among younger people for reasons of nostalgia, directly supporting artists, and the tactility of collecting, a shocking 50% of all new record purchasers do not own a record player. ]

    [ Current market offerings are often targeted toward the audiophile consumer, costing as much as $30,000. More affordable options often require additional hardware like speakers, amps, etc. or play on novelty by deriving mid-century aesthetics to present a console as “vintage”. ]

  • [ Ideation began as an exploration of form to develop a shape that felt sculptural and contemporary. The next step, was to think about how these forms could transform to utilize in different spaces. Finally, components were added in and the final model began to take shape. ]
